Our Owners

Annie & John Bolton

Annie Bolton the owner, has over 15 years of yoga experience both internationally and locally.  She has completed two 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher Trainings here in Charlotte in the Baptiste style of yoga and power flow, as well as a 300 hour RYT training in India.  Annie continues to study and learn various yoga techniques through workshops, trainings and self study.   Annie is a Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) through Yoga Alliance and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with over 700 hours of training and nearly 2,000 hours of teaching experience.  Annie is currently a brand ambassador for the Birkdale location of Lululemon Athletica, and Clean Juice in Davidson.   Annie moved to Davidson from Chicago, Illinois in 1994 with her family she has moved away for college at Appalachain State University and to travel but has always called Davidson her home.  Annie began practicing yoga in high school as a lacrosse player and continued in college as a tool to help find balance and order in a new setting.  After graduation Annie taught english in Seoul, South Korea for about a year and a half.  This is where her passion for hot yoga began, yoga is a practice that has no boundaries and is practiced all over the word.  Annie found solace on her mat and knew that it would always be a part of her life.  After returning home and after a brief stint in Costa Rica she began working in the financial industry doing client development and marketing for a financial planner, but something was missing.  Annie began working at UNC Charlotte in the Study Abroad office looking for that missing something.  During this time she began her first training, and decided she was going to open a yoga studio. Two or Three years later Annie and John opened the doors to Yoga On Davidson, and have never looked back!

John Bolton, husband and co-owner, is a Management Consultant with Deloitte Consulting.  Originally from Portland Oregon, John is a graduate of Davidson College and continues to participate in various mentorship roles with Davidson’s economics department and the Men’s Tennis program.
